Chilly

02-Nov-08

It’s gettin’ cold out and is almost time for scarves and handwarmers and coats and sweaters and hats. Well, I’m actually already in the habit of wearing sweaters and we have broken out the scarves at least once in the past week. I’m not much of a hat-wearer, though, so it’s plenty odd that I’m [...]

Urgh

27-Oct-08

So, the good news is, things are pretty much fine again. Stress has reduced greatly, things are stable and have mostly settled back into a normal kind of rhythm (a good kind of normal, the kind of normal we wanted in the first place).
However, life (or god/fate/whatever you wanna call it) decided that it [...]

Transition

14-Oct-08

Things are beginning to look up a bit. It’s a trend I’m hoping will continue so things return to their desired level of normalcy. Life really hit me hard over the last couple of months; probably the most stress I’ve had to deal with in a long time, and not at all good. Some major [...]

I wonder about me

19-Sep-08

Car’s fixed. Starter was replaced, and everything is running fine now. I fixed my PS2’s DRE problem (and didn’t even require a tiny screwdriver), so I can actually PLAY my PSX/PS2 games again. Go me!
Stressful week, not going to go into it. It was just… stressful.
I need some fiberfill for the Frog Beanie (Ravelry link) [...]

No Vroom

12-Sep-08

Blech. Car problems. Our little 1992 Toyota Corolla seems to be having an ignition issue: it looks like the solenoid is on its last legs. See, when you turn the key to crank the engine, most of the time you get a click-click sound from under the hood and nothing else. After a while, it [...]

Black Mesa?

09-Sep-08

So they’re firing up the large hadron collider (which I always say as “hardon” in my head, haw haw). Somewhere, in the back of my mind, I’m half-expecting a Half-Life sort of scenario akin to when you push the sample into the testing chamber array. Resonance cascades? Temporal rifts? Opening a gateway into a sub-dimension [...]

Convenienceless

05-Sep-08

So I have trouble keeping up with peoples’ LJs. Essentially what I have to do since I never actually LOOK at my friends page because I don’t actually USE livejournal anymore is add RSS bookmarks for every LJ or community I find interesting enough to look at and go by that. I wish I could [...]

In the Dark

30-Aug-08

My awesome Tensor full-spectrum floor lamp’s bulb finally died. I’ve had the thing for approximately 3-4 years now, so I guess it was about time for the bulb to bite the dust. Unfortunately, those particular bulbs do not tend to run especially cheap and I’m out of regular energy saving bulbs (or even energy sucking [...]

Click

20-Aug-08

It seems my mouse might be on its last legs. For some reason, the left click tends to wonk out fairly often and even if I only click once, or hold it down, it will take it upon itself to automatically double click, which leads to frustrating results.
I’ve been having issue opening windows, programs, switching [...]

Six Years

17-Aug-08

Today marks our (meaning Nate and I) six year anniversary.
There’s been a lot of growth, a lot of stress, hardship, triumph and joy. We’re not officially married yet, that will come eventually, but we love each other regardless. Here’s looking forward to many more anniversaries to come. We endeavor to be that eccentric old [...]
