Preparing for Fall
Been slacking on my FO posts, yes. Here’s a couple to make up for the relative knitting-content radio silence lately.

Don’t mistake the title for anything lewd or bawdy. Unless you tend to get that kind of excited from knitting supplies. I know some people who come dangerously close to taking the craft down that road.
Anyhow, the nine inches I’m referring to are specifically of the Clover 9″ size 2 circular needles from Twisted Knitter I wrote about several posts back. I finally cleared my WiP queue enough to cast something on to the tiny circ and try it out.
I’ve had a HULTET bowl from IKEA for several years. It’s a decorative bowl, unsuited for food or liquids, so it’s mostly sat around on various tables and shelves, sometimes holding candies, wax tarts, tea lights, beads or other odds and ends.
It’s a pretty dreary day today. But I come bearing an FO, some yarn porn and other picture spam!
I finished this a couple of weeks ago, but I’m lazy.

Spring break was mostly uneventful here. It was a week spent largely chillin’ at home, knitting, playing games on Steam, playing errand-person and chauffeur, staying up late and sleeping in. Good times.

True to my word, I am growing as an emerging knitter. I’d only played around with the basics before, but I’m now tackling my first real project. Dare I say I may be enjoying knitting more than crochet, but I’ll always hold crocheting close to my heart.
After finding that nice wool/acrylic blend yarn on the [...]
Car’s fixed. Starter was replaced, and everything is running fine now. I fixed my PS2’s DRE problem (and didn’t even require a tiny screwdriver), so I can actually PLAY my PSX/PS2 games again. Go me!
Stressful week, not going to go into it. It was just… stressful.
I need some fiberfill for the Frog Beanie (Ravelry link) [...]
I finished a simple scarf pattern I found some time around the middle of April, but didn’t get around to snapping any photos of it until now. So, here it is~
It was simple, and worked up incredibly fast. I was actually so used to going through the motions that I wasn’t even paying attention to [...]
Combine myspace, deviantart, last.fm, flickr and a love of yarn and you basically get Ravelry. It’s currently invite-only beta, so I can’t directly link to anything anyone would be able to access, but it is a dream come true for me. Patterns, topical social networks and a way to organize and keep track of my [...]
