Things are beginning to look up a bit. It’s a trend I’m hoping will continue so things return to their desired level of normalcy. Life really hit me hard over the last couple of months; probably the most stress I’ve had to deal with in a long time, and not at all good. Some major scares occurred, ones I never want to revisit if at all possible.
However, change is inevitable, and the transition is not all negative. As I said above, things are starting to look up.
I got a new phone, a nice one (Samsung M300), which was free when I renewed my Sprint contract. Nate will probably end up with one as well, once I add him to my plan in the next month or so.
I bought myself some new clothes. I desperately needed some new pants and a little bit of a wardrobe overhaul (no longer are my outfit options limited exclusively to baggy skater cargo pants and worn out hoodies). GASP, I’m turning into a girl! However, my new pants lack big or numerous pockets, which I am not pleased about one bit, but I think I’ll survive somehow.
I got Richard Dawkins’ The Selfish Gene for some light reading. Although I don’t agree with him entirely on all his points, he does present a very good argument and raises interesting points.
Haven’t been as artistically productive as I’d like to be, as a result of the drama mentioned previously. Not a lot of either drawing or crafting happening over the last couple of weeks, nor have I been much of an internet participant. Hopefully, as things stabilize further, I’ll produce more stuff.
