Typically, I'd feel the same way, but as it currently stands, my PS2 is decidedly useless; I can't do anything with it, aside from look at what's stored on my memory cards, which I can't actually use with my games. :p I've got little to lose by trying my hand at fixing things internally, so I'm going to give it a shot. If I break it even more, I'll either send it to Sony to be repaired properly or try to replace it. Oh, I know what you mean.
