I finished a simple scarf pattern I found some time around the middle of April, but didn’t get around to snapping any photos of it until now. So, here it is~
It was simple, and worked up incredibly fast. I was actually so used to going through the motions that I wasn’t even paying attention to my work as I stitched, and didn’t find myself making any real mistakes bar a few extra dcs that I had to frog.
Just double-crochets and chains over and over again until I ran out of yarn (took about 3/4ths of a skein of red heart super saver), then used what little was left for fringe on the ends. The openwork of the pattern allows for a lightweight, drapey scarf that’s not going to boil your neck if you wear it in more mild weather, but will also keep you warm if you need it… which was perfect for Nate.
Too bad it’s gotten officially spring-like here in Massachusetts and there’s not really any need for a scarf at all. It’ll have to wait until autumn to get some real use.
Yaaay, I kinda feel like a real crocheter now.

Very cute scarf! Spring-like? Which Massachusetts are you living in? ^_^ I would wear a scarf now, just without the coat.

Thanks!
Lol, well, yeah… right now it’s wonky weather again, but it was starting to get nice and sunny and warm to the point where t-shirts were acceptable to wear alone during the day. Knowing New England weather, I really shouldn’t have spoken so soon what with this chilly, rainy spell we’re currently having.

WOW! A scarf! I can never do anything when it comes to stitching/sewing. Haha. ^.^ Really, really good job, I must say. I haven’t got the patience, time and probably skills like you do. I’d go mad if I were to sit down and start stitching. xD

It looks really cute. Too bad that I can’t wear it in the climate I’m in since it’s already blazing hot.

That’s a very nice scarf. I wish I knew how to knit or crochet.

My, my, my! What a coincidence! I crochet, too - when I feel like it. I admire the material that you used, it’s of high quality! That kind of material is not available in our country
