I had a feeling this would happen when I decided to pick up crochet as a hobby, but I somehow thought I’d be better able to balance it against my other crafts and pastimes. Guess I was wrong!
Crochet has become an obsession. I scour the internet for interesting patterns I feel confident enough to tackle. I have artwork commissions to do, but all I want to do is play with string.
I’ve basically completed my handwarmers for myself, so I feel now is a good time to take a break and get my art quota out of the way… and then I get my invite to Ravelry. Excellent timing.
Time to prioritize my agendas, I suppose. I also need to take pictures of my finished projects and my stash.

Heh. I was actually reading a book the other day which devoted a chapter to the growing trend of young people and men taking up needlecraft, mostly thanks to the internet. You’re a cultural phenomenon, dude, grats!
