Rain

Okay, so… weather is a big part of my life. Well, if you want to get technical, it’s a bit part of everyone’s life, as we’re all affected by it in some way, right?

I’m not even an outdoorsy kind of person; I was when I was a kid, but I also grew up in the wonderful and amazing mediterranean climate of San Francisco’s south bay, where it never snowed in the winter except for a light dusting on the tops of the hills, and rarely dropped below 50 in the middle of winter. And rain! Well, back home, rain in the fall and winter were blessings because we constantly sat on the verge of drought, and anything to replenish the volume of the reservoirs was nothing but a good thing, as sparse as it might have been.

Rain. I hate rain. It doesn’t even depress me, really… I just hate it. It makes everything feel gross, which I think is because it creates so much humidity and it makes everything seem really unsanitary and tainted. Blech. I don’t even mind snow, as long as it doesn’t melt down from rain right after and then freeze into a delightful hazard course to be crossed on the way to the car in the driveway. Oh yes, thank you for that bit of sadistic humor, mother nature. I appreciate it, surely.

Yay Rain
What’s this? What’s all that green stuff? Rain, you say? …Great.

    I used to hate rain too, until my well went dry. Did not enjoy the water jug baths at all.

    Send all that beautiful liquid my way. ;o;
